A Day of Training in New Zealand

So may wonder what I have been doing in New Zealand for the past month? Well I would wake up at 6 eat some breakfast hop in the car, drive up to Coronet Peak. Then I would do my warm up which usually consisted of some movements, stretching then 3-5 runs of drill skiing really focusing on my movements. Really slowing down my skiing trying to flex my ankles, keep my chest down, stay grounded or rolling my inside ankle; little things that make a big difference.

Then I make my way up to the course and do this 10 times.
Then we reset or change lanes and disciplines and do it again for another 10 runs.

We then make our way down to home, eat some lunch, throw some ice on the old knees and take a nap. Wake up an hour later, motivate for dry land training which usually consists of weight lifting or games. Then to video analysis, dinner, stretch then bed. Repeat that for a month and hopefully you have created some good habits to take you to the top of the podium!

Napa Biking Video, ENJOY

Heres a little clip Tommy Ford put together of our bike trip in Napa. Good work Tommy and some good memories.

You may be wondering why Erik "Fish" Fisher was wearing American Flag womens swim top. Well thats the way Fish just likes to roll.

Just kidding the guy who did the most stupid thing that has had to wear it for the next day. Them team voted and Fish had it one of the days.

Last Days of Summer

(sorry about the missing photos, the internet stole them!!! Actually its too slow and wont upload for some reason?? I will get them up there after the trip is done.)

Currently I am in New Zealand getting my training on. It is always weird to go from the sun rising at 5 and setting at 930 at night to rising at 730 and setting at 6??? But while I was home I made the last few days well by cruising up to Flaming Gorge Dam hunting down some fish!

I guess this stretch of river has some of the most fish per mile in North America, and the water is crystal clear!

I caught a few then took a nap on a rock until the clouds came in and started raining on me.

We then met our new friend Dan the Fisherman at the Dam and went for a float trip.

Snagged me a few of these.

Sorry buddy! You will be back in the water soon.

What a beauty.

Thanks Nat for convincing me to cruise up with you.

Thanks Dan for the float trip. If anyone is looking for a great float trip contact Dan at the Flaming Gorge Resort.
