KA BOOM!

I learned this morning that a volcano erupted about an hour and a half north of Ancorage, Alaska and it is holding people back from flying up to Alaska to the US Nationals!  Pretty wild.  It is a couple hours away from Aleyska Resort where the races are being held.  The big problem comes from the ash in the air, which doesn't look too prevalent (click me), but is supposed  to erupt again over the next week.  The ash causes severe damage to the jets flying through it so the airlines are being careful.  

I still wish I was headed up there.
